International Costume Run

The sporting fun at the GMM

Saturday October 12, 2024 from 10:30 a.m.
Olympic Park, Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Platz

With „Dirndl“ and „Lederhosen“, but also with Kilt or Kimono: The field of runners in the International Costume Run is becoming more international every year. Six days after the end of the Munich Oktoberfest, the suitability of the various national costumes will be tested for competition.

The International Costume Run as part of the GENERALI MUNICH MARATHON takes place on an 3 kilometer long course through the Munich Olympic Park in the country’s typical costume. The International Costume Run is the ideal opportunity to jog comfortably through the Olympic Park with the traditional costume club, family, friends or colleagues – and to present your own traditional costume to the public. After the run, runners can expect a Bavarian breakfast.
